Very nice hike starting from the resort, walk along the waterfall, cross the Louvet Cirque and reach Brouffier lake. Please stay on the main trail, as you enter a very rich but fragile area. Nature deserves being protected.
Learn moreStart on foot from the resort, and follow the direction toward the Cascade (waterfall). On the left side when facing it, follow the path that begins to climb. You will quickly pass by one of the three equipped climbing walls of the pass.
You will then arrive at a small trail that serves as an escape route for the Cascade Via Ferrata. From there, take the narrow steep path to the right, which leads to the Louvet cabin (a place where wolves used to live) and the tiny lake of Prévourey.
Cross the small valley heading toward the end of the combe; a trail climbs steadily along the axis of the stream. As the slope eases, the trail approaches the stream and crosses it. A few switchbacks on the other side lead you past the threshold of the lake, reaching its outlet with a final traverse to the right.
You gradually enter the rocky zone of the mountain, and finally arrive at Lake Brouffier.
Descend by the same trail to Prévourey, then follow the path to your left to come back down on the other side of the Cascade.
