Two days to celebrate cycling in all its forms!
On Saturday, May 30th, the Derby de la Morte takes place: a descent from the summit of Serriou to the Séchilienne stadium, followed by a lively evening with a DJ and a cocktail reception at Le Chardon Bleu.

All weekend long, enjoy a musical atmosphere at the Bike Park, bike tests, and local vendor booths.
The race will start at the top of the Serriou chairlift, with a descent to the Séchilienne stadium, representing a total of 1,600 meters of negative elevation change.
The course will be fully marked with directional gates, which participants must respect. Course familiarization is mandatory and will take place on the morning of the event. The race will consist of a single run.

DERBY DE LA MORTE RULES
Article 1: Date of the event and course
The Derby de la Morte will take place on May 30, 2026, organized by the FRTV association at the Alpe du Grand Serre resort, in the commune of La Morte (38).

For the downhill race, the start is at the top of the Serriou chairlift and the finish at the Séchilienne stadium, for a total descent of 1400m. Between these two points, the descent will be marked by directional gates. The race will consist of one run.

The terrain will be prepared for downhill mountain biking and will be handed over to competitors depending on the weather conditions.

Article 2: Fees and Entry
Registration is now done online or on the day of the event (with a surcharge). In case of cancellation, places may be available on the day itself. Registration will be considered complete upon signature of the regulations and presentation of a license or a medical certificate stating that there are no contraindications to competitive cycling, dated within the last 3 months.

The entry fee for the Derby de la Morte is as follows:
Each competitor must be in excellent health, properly trained, and capable of descending black runs. Competitors
must maintain their composure throughout the entire event.
Any act or attempt to cheat will result in disqualification from all events.

For safety reasons, participation in the event requires the following protective gear:
For Downhill (DH), a full-face helmet, an approved back protector or backpack, elbow pads, and knee pads.
Each competitor is required to carry a mobile phone throughout the race to contact the organizer in case of
an accident or any other emergency. The race director's phone number will be displayed on the race number plate.

Article 4: Number Plates
Number plates can be collected at the Derby Village:
For Downhill (DH), Friday, May 29, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Saturday, May 30, 2026, from 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM.

Article 5: Insurance
By paying their registration fees, competitors will be automatically insured for the day. The organizers decline all responsibility in the event of any material or personal injury that may occur to competitors and any resulting consequences.

Article 6: Course Familiarization
For the Downhill race, course familiarization is mandatory and must be carried out on the morning of the event.

Article 7: Disqualification
The following may lead to disqualification:

- violation or attempted violation of the aforementioned rules
- outside assistance during the race
- unsportsmanlike or violent behavior during the race
In this case, disqualified competitors will not receive any refund from the organizing committee.

Article 8: Ranking
For the Downhill race, the ranking will be established based on the order in which competitors cross the finish line.
The following categories will be awarded: Overall / Women / Masters (40 years and over) / Youth.

Article 9: Cancellation and Refunds
The organizing committee reserves the right to modify these regulations in the event of force majeure and/or for safety reasons.
The organizing committee also reserves the right to cancel the event in the event of adverse weather conditions that could endanger the safety of the competitors. In the event of cancellation, no refunds will be issued. The organizers accept no responsibility for the loss of personal equipment or materials during the event.
