A challenging two-day hike for experienced hikers, partly through forest and along the Beaumont ridges, crossing the Parquetout Pass, with an overnight stay in La Salette.

Follow the direction towards Les Molinas / Les Verneys. Continue towards Les Saugniers / Col de Pierre Grosse, and then Col de la Chainelette.
Alternative starting point: Col de Parquetout, which you will reach on foot.
Continue in the direction of Combe de Chatelard, and at Quatre Chemins, follow the signs to Côte Belle. You will reach the GR (long-distance hiking trail) at the Hurtières Tunnels (vertiginous), then cross the Col d’Hurtières. To finish, follow Grande Combe and arrive at Notre Dame de la Salette.

Return options:
Take the GR 50 down to the village of Entraigues (13.6 km), then follow paths to Valbonnais (an additional 7 km).
Alternatively, you can follow part of the GR 50 back to Col d’Hurtières and branch off toward Col de Lière, Col Nodry / Côtes de Selle / Bergerie du Clot de l’Alpe, and Col du Parquetout (7 km), then return to Le Valbonheur via the same trail used the previous day.
