Description
The goal of Pus'art (an artistic collective born in 2007) is to bring back to life by some artistic practices an ancient miner's chapel : Notre Dame des Neiges, located in an industrial wasteland, no far from the Villaret Pit, near to La Mure.
Learn moreBuilt by the Mines company in 1921, the chapel belongs to the diocese of Grenoble-Vienne; it welcomes punctually some cultural activities (exposures, gigs, edition....). The building is rehabilitated thanks to participative labours with some international youth and local volunteers.
The chapel is open during events and every day on appointment.
It's in prevision to include in the building ground, symbolizing the miners climbing out to the daylight, a light disc of 5m diametre, in glass, carved of text in spiral, on whose we can walk.
