La Motte Saint Martin City Hall

In the beginning of the 30's, Jean MAGNAT, mayor of La Motte-Saint-Martin commissioned Georges SERBONNET to build two hamlet schools and a town hall-school. This architect from Grenoble was one of the representatives of Art Deco architecture in Chambéry as well as in Grenoble, where he is known for having designed the large pediment of the helical garage on "rue Bressieux" or the "Gambetta group" on place Rivet.
