Communauté de Communes de la Matheysine

The Matheysine Community of Municipalities (CCM) is an intermunicipal entity formed in 2014 from the congregation of three communities of municipalities, the integration of ten municipalities and four intermunicipal associations (waste management, swimming pool, economic development, and the Alpe du Grand Serre ski resort). It covers an area of ​​71,000 hectares and comprises 43 municipalities, 40 of which have fewer than 1,000 inhabitants (15 of which have fewer than 100 inhabitants). The CCM benefits from its proximity to the Grenoble metropolitan area, a major employment hub for the southern Isère region.
