AROUND SAUTET LAKE

Description

Of moderate difficulty, this itinerary, which overlooks upper Drac, nevertheless
features several steep climbs although they are never very long. It consists of a
large loop that climbs the tributaries of Lake Sautet - the Drac and the Souloise
- towards the plain of Pellafol, beneath
the impressive eastern face of the Obiou
mountain.

When leaving Corps, head towards Gap until Motty, where you will make a right onto the D217 road towards Beaufin / Ambel / Monestier-d’Ambel.
Continue on the D217 towards Saint-Disdier / Pellafol / Saint-Etienne-en-Dévoluy until the D537 junction, where you will make a right towards Pellafol / Corps. Once in Pellafol, if you have some time, don’t miss out on a visit of the Maison du Patrimoine (Heritage House), a charming little museum dedicated to the life of yesteryear; after that, proceed to Corps, by way of the large Sautet bridge.
Return via the Sautet bridge, its dam and its viewpoint, where you can enjoy the thrills of the giant zip-line or the via ferrata!
At the end of your ride, stop by the Sautet nautical base to freshen up
